To celebrate the expansion of our DSM scripting platform, we’re giving away 3 iPads to the authors of the top 3 scripts in any application. Simply create a free account and upload your script before Friday, 29 October to enter.
Many Harbor users will have questions about our currently open single-molecule scripting competition which we will aim to address in this thread.
First and foremost, all scripts considered for our first competition earlier this year are not eligible for the current competition but don’t worry if you’ve already uploaded a script that you would’ve entered though! All scripts published since Tuesday, 23 February will also be included as valid entries.
When judging the scripts we will consider several factors being: the potential impact and scope of the script, the technical quality of the code, and the solidity of the theoretical basis. Adding additional documentation, context, and information for citations also earns you bonus points in our judging!
We will allow multiple script entries per person however only a maximum of 1 script from each entrant can be a winner to assure 3 unique finalists.
All entrants will be contacted and asked if they consent to give a short 5-minute presentation with a LUMICKS correspondent (not a judge) where together you’ll record the presentation for it to be included later in a webinar. In this webinar, all entrant’s presentations will be shown and the winners will be announced, with the webinar going on-demand later to act as a useful community resource.
