Permissions
Whilst in many cases the author of a script will have usage permissions listed for use of their script (see example below), others will only include smaller snippets of code without any permissions guidance. It’s important to always fully cite the author to the best of your knowledge however we also recommend direct communication for full clarification.
Requesting more code:
In certain circumstances, a published script may be useful for your application but a small segment is absent in the author’s work that you believe would be valuable to incorporate. Alternatively, you may have all the scripting material you need but aren’t sure of the intricacies in applying it to your work or in avoiding plagiarism. We’ve added a feedback section directly into every script on Harbor intended to cater to this type of communication.
